A number of years ago I got married at a beautiful chateaux in Angouleme...and that is where this story begins....
I started my career in real estate in Toronto, Canada in 2007, but my passion always lay in food and wine. In 2013 I decided to start my Sommelier (just for fun), the year before getting married in Angouleme. Needless to say, I fell in love with the South West France. By 2015 I had completed both my Court of Master Sommelier and Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers designations. What started as an intense hobby, quickly progressed into a side business. I incorporated wine tastings into my established real estate business; client events, Christmas parties, house warmings...whatever I could do to keep my passion alive. And then in 2020, I decided to make wine my full time job, becoming a wine consultant and educator.
In June 2022, I moved to the Dordogne area and started a customized wine tasting business. Whether it is a champagne tasting for a wedding rehearsal dinner, or a fun blind tasting for a corporate retreat, I can bring the wine tasting to you, or invite you to my wine cave for a special experience.
My passion for wine is something I have always loved to share. With Somm Privé, I get to do this every day. Pretty much a dream come true. I hope I get to share my dream with you!
